At first I spent some time looking for a AT or NodeMCU firmware running in the module but in fact the Wemos module comes loaded with code flashing the blue LED. At least that's a good sign that the module is somewhat healthy. The preparation of the Arduino IDE to add the support for the ESP modules was straight forward. Interesting enough code can also be downloaded to the module over the air (OTA) via the Arduino IDE. It's all magic !
